  • What is homadorma's regulation on My Message page?

As a general rule of thumb, homadorma does not allow users to communicate with the other party outside of our website without permission. It is difficult to set an exact boundary of what to do and what not to. As a result, we expect both parties to respect our requirements when sending messages. For example, we do not allow hosts or students to share phone number, social media, email, address etc. in message without permission, as it will result in both parties communicate outside of homadorma. Scheduling the tour before payment is also not allowed.

If the student would like visit the homestay before booking, we encourage the student to consider Homestay Tour.

Homadorma has implemented automated and manual mechanism to detect messages that violate our regulation. Users who attempt to bypass homadorma repeatedly may risk getting fined and account suspended.

  • What should I do if a host does not respond my booking request or message?

After your booking request is sent, our system sends a notification to the host immediately by email. Hosts also receive the website notification every time when they login if there's a pending booking request.

In most cases, hosts respond to a booking request within 1-2 days.

Our system sends a second email notification 12 hours after the first one, and a third email notification 24 hours after the first one if there's a pending booking request. It's very hard to miss a booking request on hosts side.

If you still do not receive any response, most likely the host is not interested in accommodating a student at the moment. Don't waste your time on keep waiting. Contact other hosts near your school. The more hosts you contact, the more invites you will receive.
