I am a retired ESL teacher of Surrey School District and have been hosting international students for over two decades which I enjoy very much as each child brings enlightening cultural exposure . Most of the students are high school students and some university students . High school students require more guidance and attention as for school performance is concerned . I enjoy helping them very much . I like to help in doing homework also.
I am aware of the responsibilities of custodians such as staying in touch with school activities, meetings during parents' night in schools and keeping parents informed about their children's performance and adjustment in school and in home as well .
Many times children need to be taken to the doctors in case of any health issues .
I consider them as part of the family members and they do become my family by taking part in family activities which makes easy transition from one country to another country .
It will be an honour to be a custodian for the young ones .
