Our family has been hosting students in Toronto since 2004, from over 30 different countries; it's been a pleasure throughout all our years. Our family includes myself and my husband. We also have a son who attends McMaster university. We started this experience as a way for us to learn about different cultures and for a way to help students feel like they have a safe, clean, and ultimately fun environment to grow as individuals.

In addition to being a homestay, we've also have been custodians to over 15 minor students from around the world (China, Brazil, Japan, Turkey, Mexico). We've made sure that they have an amazing experience in Canada by helping them navigate their school administration, health services, and much more! I have experience with the Toronto District School Board, Toronto Catholic District School Board, and many private schools across Ontario. We attend parent-teacher interviews and discuss performance regularly with our students and their parents to help students stay on track for an excellent report card!

We are always in contact with our students' families, and we build strong trust. You are welcome to visit our home and celebrate holidays with us. At Christmas and graduation, it's very common to have our students' families visit and enjoy a beautiful home cooked meal together. Parents feel comfortable to leave their children in our care, because they know they are in good hands.

Our students can be as involved with our family as they please; they can request special dishes from any cuisine, cook with the family if they want, watch TV or movies, play board or video games. We all eat dinners together so that students get to interact with each other and our family. Our motto is "welcome to your home far from home" and we believe that statement fully.
