The room I stayed in was comfy enough, and it seems like a calm neighborhood. It's also somewhat remote - a very residential area with not too much within walking distance, and as far as I could tell the bus stops weren't particularly convenient either. One of the bus routes is very sparse and unreliable according to the host, and the other offers no cover in the winter making it a bit torturous on its own right. The host does have a number of house rules, including one asking for 2 months' warning if you wish to move out past the trial week, which is important to keep in mind. That, plus generally not feeling comfortable in the place, lead me to move out early. Despite quite enjoying the room, I can't rate this homestay any higher than this after my experiences in the last couple of days - finding out that my housemate was freezing in his room to the point he found it downright unlivable, being woken up by an argument of some sort at 5am, and facing a total lack of communication on the host's part that forced me to move out earlier than we'd previously agreed to. I would like to believe these aren't regular occurrences, but seeing as I only stayed there for a week, I can't comment one way or another and feel a need to mention them solely as a warning to watch out for. If you're looking to study in the area and the winter isn't as harsh as 2022's, it may be a place worth looking into.
