House rules
House rules will be included in the contract after booking
    Welcome to our home!
We are happy to invite you into our home and we hope you will enjoy your time here with us. To ensure that everyone lives happily in this home together, we all try to abide by the house rules.

The bus stop is 6 minutes away from the house. Bus number 32 will take you to EGLINTON Subway Station. On your way back take bus number 32A or 32C from Eglinton Subway Station and the stop is called Ronald.
    BATHROOM
You will be sharing the bathroom with us. Please help keep the bathroom clean so that it’s clean for the next person. Please refrain from showering between 11pm and 6.15 am. It's not acceptable to use the shower for more than 15 minutes.
Please limit showers to once per day. In countries with warm climates, it makes sense to shower more than once, but in Canada that is usually not necessary. If you are engaged in sports and you require a second shower, please discuss with us. Toilet paper should go in the toilet, not the garbage. Please dispose of feminine hygiene products and products other than toilet paper in the garbage.
Keep the fan on while showering to prevent humidity.
    WASHING YOUR CLOTHES
We will do the washing of clothes, towels and bed linen for everyone on Thursdays evening (If there is a change, we will let you know). Please give us your laundry basket on Wednesday or Thursday before 3pm. Your clean laundry will be placed back in your bedroom. We have provided an extra towel and bed linen. Please feel free to change your sheets every week or every other week as you wish.

    MEAL TIMES
The evening meal is a time that we all try to sit together and chat about the day’s events and it is one of the many family traditions that help to bond the family. If you are not going to be home for a meal, text or WhatsApp Fio before 4 pm. We usually eat between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm. If you are going to be late for a meal let us know so that I can leave something for you. It's not acceptable to eat dinner after 11:00 pm.
Breakfast: During the week is a "help yourself meal". We will show you where the milk, cereal, cookies, bread, jam, butter, peanut butter, tea and coffee are stored.
    YOUR BEDROOM
Your bedroom is your private space, and all family members are expected to respect the privacy of each other’s bedroom. The exception to this rule is our right to enter any room for safety or hygiene reasons. Please keep your bedroom clean and tidy. This means find a place to put everything. Do not leave lots of things on your desk, the floor, or your bed. Especially, do not put a wet towel on the bed. Please hang it on the hooks behind the door.
To prevent food proliferation, please do not eat or store food items in your bedroom.
Please, leave the door of your room open if you're not in your room. It helps to circulate the air and assists in getting the house to a desired temperature.
Kindly leave your bedroom windows closed when leaving the house.
    GENERAL RULES
    Remove shoes when entering house.
If coming home late at night be extremely quiet.
Always turn off lights when leaving a room or going out.
Always remember to lock the door.
The key to the street door is your responsibility. If you lose the key you will be responsible for the cost of having the lock replaced.
    This is a non-smoking, non-drug home.
    Wash your own
    dishes after every meal.

We understand that some of the rules may seem strange to you and that you will need time to adjust to them. Please come and speak to us of any worries or problems that we can help you with.
