Hosting in Mississauga since 2024Hello there, We are a quiet family with additional accommodations in the basement that would be perfect for a College Student looking for a quiet space to study. We enjoy gardening and taking care of our plants! We are a musical family, so you may hear singing and the piano keys playing in the mid morning or afternoon.

House rules
Waste needs to be disposed of properly.
Rooms are to be kept clean.
No Parties.
No loud music.
No smoking or vaping.
No burning of incense.
No overnight guests permitted.
Use the fan when cooking.
No loud noise after 10pm.
If there are any concerns in the unit let us know asap!
SECURITY
1. Make sure that you lock the main entrance doors when you leave the house.
2. Let me know if you will not be coming home for the night or for several nights. Please advise when we can expect you to be back.
CLEANLINESS
1. Common areas and rooms should be kept clean at all times. If you accidentally spill something or make a mess in the common area, please clean up your mess.
2. Only papers or non-food items should be placed in the garbage can inside your room. Food waste should be thrown in the food bin in the kitchen. Food wrappers or containers should be disposed of in the kitchen either in the garbage bin (e.g. non-recyclable plastics) or in the recycle bin (e.g. boxes, cans and recyclable plastics).
3. Use the vacuum to clean up your room. Make sure to return the vacuum to its proper place.
4. Garbage day is every Monday morning please make sure that you dispose of the garbage bin in your room on Wednesday night.
5. Keep your room clean at all times. We will check your room once in a while to make sure it is clean.
LAUNDRY
1. You are allowed to use the washer and dryer once a week to launder your clothes.
2. Laundry schedule is between the following hours:
• Monday to Friday – 7 pm to 10 pm
• Saturday to Sunday – any time of the day
3. Be sure to check if the dryer is free of lint before loading it and/after completing each dryer load.
4. Remove your clothes from the washer/dryer immediately after the cycle so other people will be able to use the machine.
5. Please follow the precautions in using the machines (e.g. no flammable items in the dryer, etc.)
BATHROOM USE
1. The upstairs bathroom is for the HOST. The students share 1 washroom. Please make sure that you don’t stay too long in the washroom especially in the morning when other students are also preparing for school.
2. It is ok to put toilet paper in the toilet and flush it. Please DO NOT put anything else in the toilet. (NO DISINFECTING WIPES, PAPER TOWELS, CLOTHS, FEMININE NAPKINS, OIL FROM COOKED FOOD, CONTENTS FROM THE VACUUM CLEANER, TOILET PAPER ROLLS.)
3. As a courtesy to the person, you are sharing the bathroom with, please make sure that the bathroom is clean enough for the next person to use.
4. Ensure the bathroom area is sprayed with a cleaner after you leave the space.
MEALS AND SNACKS
All eating will take place in the kitchen. You should use the available waste containers to dispose of waste appropriately. Food not properly disposed of can attract pests inside the house.
INTERNET
1. We have an unlimited internet plan, feel free to use it as much as you want.
2. If the internet is down, please let us know so we can call our provider to fix it right away.
SMOKING
1. Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the house. If you need to smoke, you can do so outside, at least 5 metres from the home.
GUESTS
1. Guests are not permitted
OTHER HOUSE RULES
1. Please turn off lights (your room, washroom and common areas) and water when not in use.
2. Only inside shoes should be worn in the house.
3. No partying or illegal drugs in the home.
