I am an established homestay host for 12 years, and I have hosted more than 40 students from 12 countries and 14 areas ^.^ Recently I moved from Kelowna BC to Richmond greater Vancouver BC, and I am planning to continue to be a host mother ^.^ I prepare delicious, nutritional and balanced meals for my homestays, so they can focus on their study/work. In the past, we often have had great conversations over the dinner table, with a lot of joyful laugh. My longest homestay student lived at my place for over 3 years! A few of them came back and visited me after they left my place or even left the country for many years. My rule of thumb: I treat my homestay students as if they were my own children. The 3-floored townhouse has 5 bedrooms and is in convenient LOCATION with bus stops and 15 minutes walking to SkyTrain Canada Line which leads to the downtown Vancouver. It is close to the center of Richmond, close to No. 3 Road where many shops and restaurants are available, all within walking distance. There are 3 rooms for homestay in the house, two are on the 3rd floor (approximately 115 and 120 sq ft), and a larger bedroom ( approximately 190 sq ft) on the first floor. By the way, I only do "homestay with meals", no "rent only".

Meals

Breakfast 		Host provides material, student prepares own breakfast
Most of the time continental style.I offer cereal, milk, bread, butter, jam, and fruits. I cook something special for breakfast when i have time.

Lunch 		Host prepares lunch for student
Sandwich or packed leftover from the dinner intentionally cooked more for lunchbox of next day.

Dinner 		Host prepares dinner for student
Main meal of the day. Balanced food that normally include 3 parts. The part that is rich in protein such as beef, pork, chicken, fish, shrimps, etc., and the part that contains vegetables of all kinds, and the part that contains carbohydrates such as bread, rice, noodles pasta or spaghetti. Example 1: roasted pork, stir fried tofu, stir fried green vegetables, and some soup or porridge. Example 2: lasagna, seaweed soup. Example 3: Steamed meat bums, salad, and porridge.

    House rules will be included in the contract after booking
    - Quite time between 11pm and 6:30am.
    - Keep your bedroom and washroom clean and tidy, and do not keep dirty dishes or food waste in bedroom.
    - When meals are ready, please help in setting up the table and help washing dishes in turn.
    - Turn off lights and appliances when going out.
