I am a straight, retired music industry executive, non-tobacco smoker, open-minded, politically and socially leaning left and would appreciate a roommate who respects those qualities who is also relatively quiet, tidy and cleans up after themselves. My home is not a student co-op nor party place – it’s just myself with the one potential serious roommate. I'd like to rent out my spare room to a full time McGill student or faculty member. The room is furnished with a twin-sized single bed, desk, night table, large dresser, mirror, and small flatscreen television. Rent includes, all utilities, high speed internet, cable TV, access to in-house laundry, shared kitchen, bathroom and living room, bed linens and towels. As I'm an early riser, I will include a light breakfast with gourmet coffee or latte. I am also a pretty good cook and would be happy to work out other shared meal arrangements. My apartment is in Montreal's Mile-End neighbourhood whose nearby amenities include all types of restaurants, take-outs, cafes, bookshops, boutiques, pubs, grocers and more. Famous Montreal smoked meat close by, 24-hour bagels around the corner! Time-Out listed Mile-End as the #5 in “the coolest neighbourhoods in the world” (#1 in Canada!) The Mile-End location is combined less than a half-hour bus ride and short walk to McGill main campus. Bicycle paths make it even faster; many Bixi bike-share stations are within a block.
