About Detlef's family

I am a retired IT Mathematician and Aviation Personal Pilot from Germany who immigrated to Canada over 30 years ago. I’ve lived in different parts of British Columbia; however, I decided to settle in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, for its beauty and peacefulness. My house is on a hill with a breathtaking view of the ocean, which extends as far as seeing Vancouver. Your room will have a beautiful view, and there’s a large balcony adjacent to your room, where you can enjoy watching the ferries going by, the eagles flying high in the sky, and the deer roaming everywhere. The city of Nanaimo has so many recreational activities to offer. You can swim in the ocean, hike or ski on top of Mount Washington or many other mountains, or enjoy the fine food in restaurants.
