Hosting in Markham since 2019Incredible location for students attending Markville Secondary School. House is only steps away (less than 1 min walk)! Direct bus routes to Unionville High School and Middlefield Collegiate Institute. 15 min by car to Seneca College Markham Campus. A 10 min walk to Centennial GO station with GO trains/buses to Scarborough and downtown Toronto Union station. Less than 5 min drive to Centennial Community Centre, Loblaws, CF Markville Mall, FoodyMart Supermarket, etc. This is also a quiet and safe residential neighbourhood situated near the York Regional Police District Headquarters. Beautifully renovated house (3000-3500 feet) with brand new furniture, appliance and bedsheets. The house is redesigned into a modern, open concept layout with lots of natural light. Student room is equipped with a queen size bed, nightstand, study desk, chair, bookshelf and a two-door closet. Meet as strangers. Part as friends. We are a quiet family of five. Mom is retired and available to maintain the house errands (great with cooking a variety of cuisine!). Daughter and son-in-law are young adult working professionals in accounting/finance, both of which have had experience in high school and/or university in Ontario. We have two young children at home that goes to daycare during weekdays. 離有名的馬克維爾高中僅一分鐘步行的距離! 到附近其他多所學校也有公車直達，去多倫多市中心只要步行10分鐘到通勤鐵路站，即可搭乘一班GO火車或GO公車直達市中心的聯合車站，中間經過士嘉堡等地區。社區環境安靜，離超級市場、華人超市、社區中心、百貨商場很近。約克區警察局位於馬克維爾高中對面，治安相當安全。房子內外寬敞，面積約3000-3500平方英尺，做過全面的裝修，室內設計採現代風開放式格局，光線充足。家裡的傢俱包含學生房間內的傢俱、床單、枕頭、棉被通通是全新的。學生房間裡已安置了床、床頭櫃、書桌、椅子、書櫃和衣櫃。 媽媽(寄宿媽媽)和女兒十多年前從台灣移民到加拿大。媽媽曾在一家知名的書店品牌公司擔任人資兼客服經理，目前已退休在家，主要負責家務的部分，擅長各式各樣的家庭廚藝。女兒和女婿皆為上班族。女兒在渥太華讀完高中，赴多倫多求學、實習，畢業於多倫多大學後成功考取特許會計師證照，現於政府機構擔任財會經理。女婿來自西安，也是十多年前移民加拿大，畢業於滑鐵盧大學後成功考取精算師證照，之後在多倫多大學完成了MBA，現於一家上市上櫃公司擔任高階主管。女兒和女婿中英文流利，平時以英文為主要溝通語言，和媽媽則是用中文溝通。家裡有兩位上幼兒園的孩子。平時的生活步調很安靜、簡單、踏實，偶爾會出去郊遊踏青，享受美好居家生活。歡迎你(妳)來加入這個大家庭!

House rules
Given that we have young children in the house, we strictly ask students to not bring in any pets. We wish to preserve this newly renovated house in its best condition where possible and kindly ask students to exercise reasonable due care, including but not limited to maintaining good living habits, not damaging furniture, not nailing or drilling holes in the wall. We value the safety of our students under our care, and as such, we ask that students do not bring any guests to stay overnight or stay out overnight. Please communicate with the host if special circumstances apply. Let's keep an open and transparent communication with each other and remain respectful of one another.
