Hosting in Markham since 2019Hi! My name is Chris. My home is a 4 bedroom detached home near Kennedy Road and Hwy 7 (with finished basement) in a family oriented neighbourhood that is very close to a variety of public transit buses and trains into Toronto and surrounding communities. This location is especially close (approx. 10 mins. walk) to the Unionville GO station / hub. Furthermore, it is 10-20 mins. walking distance to a variety of restaurants and activities (Main Street Unionville, Downtown Markham complex), plazas (New Kennedy Square), malls (Markville Mall & Pacific Mall), movie theatre (Cineplex), gyms (YMCA, Pan Am, GoodLife), community centres (Aaniin, Centennial, Milliken Mills), grocery / pharmacy (T&T, Shoppers, Walmart) and other amenities. Parking space is available on the driveway, if required. My objective is to provide a comfortable living environment for the student(s) and to assist in adapting to the Canadian culture, lifestyle and challenges. I will be able to connect easily, relate personally and be able to openly share my childhood, youth and work experiences with each student(s) in order to enlighten them to make good choices and decisions. Having had a solid and diversified educational background, I will be able to support and assist the student(s) in their home work, assignments and projects when necessary. I am very proficient in the Canadian English language both in speech and writing. The schools and colleges near my home are: J. Addison School, Unionville High School, Bill Crothers High School, Milliken Mills High School, Father Michael McGivney Catholic Academy High School, Middlefield CI, Seneca College – Markham Campus, Westfield Secondary Education, Alathena International Academy, etc. Most schools are walking distance away or requires one public transit bus ride to their location. Public transit buses: 1. Kennedy Rd. (North & South directions / travels) -> VIVA & YRT #8, #14, # 522 buses. Bus stops are located at Kennedy Rd. & Avoca Drive intersection. 2. Hwy 7 (East & West directions / travels) -> VIVA, YRT & Go Transits, #1, #304, #71 buses. Bus stops are located at Hwy 7 & Swansea Rd. intersection.
