No partying, no drinking or drugs of any kind or format. You must be clean and tidy and well organized. No messy people please.

HOUSE RULES
SECURITY
Make sure that you lock the front door when you leave the house. If you leave through the garage, be sure to close the door. The Garage Door must be closed at all times.

Let me know if you will not be coming home for the night or for several nights. Please advise when we can expect you to be back.

CLEANLINESS
Common areas and rooms should be kept clean at all times. If you accidentally spill or made a mess in the common area, please clean up your mess.

Only papers or non-food items should be placed in the garbage can inside your room. Food waste should be thrown in the food bin in the kitchen. Food wrappers or containers should be disposed in the kitchen either in the garbage bins - there are 2 bins, one for paper and one for plastic.

You can use the vacuum to clean up your room. Make sure to return the vacuum to its proper place.

Garbage day is every Monday and Thursday, please make sure that you dispose the garbage bin in your room before a garbage day.

Keep your room clean at all times. We will check your room once in a while to make sure it is clean.

LAUNDRY
You are allowed to use the washer and dryer once a week to clean your clothes.
Laundry schedule is between the following hours:
• Monday to Friday – 7pm to 11pm
• Saturday to Sunday – anytime of the day
Be sure to check if the dryer is free of lint before loading it.
Remove your clothes from the washer/dryer immediately after the cycle so other people will be able to use the machine.
Please follow the precautions in using the machines (e.g. no flammable items in the dryer, etc.)

BATHROOM USE
1. The upstairs bathroom is to be shared. Please make sure that you don’t stay too long in the washroom especially in the morning when others are also preparing for the day.

If you urgently need to use the washroom and the basement bathroom is in use, you can use the washroom in the main floor which is usually reserved for guests. It is ok to put toilet paper in the toilet and flush it. Please do not put anything else in the toilet.

As a courtesy to the person you are sharing the bathroom with, please make sure that the bathroom is clean enough for the next person to use.

MEALS AND SNACKS
You are in charge of your meals and snacks. You will have area in the fridge for you food and in a kitchen cupboard for supplies. Please clean up immediately after cooking. Take the normal precautions when cooking - make sure the stove is turned off etc.

If you like to eat snacks in your room, please make sure that any garbage or wastes are properly disposed in the kitchen food/garbage/recycle bin and not in the garbage bin in your room.

Improperly disposed food can attract pests inside the house.
Let us know if you have any food allergy.

INTERNET
We have unlimited internet plan, feel free to use it as much as you want. If internet is down, please let us know so we can call our provider to fix it right away.

SMOKING/LIQUOR/DRUGS
1. Smoking is not allowed inside the house. Liquor and drugs will not be tolerated.

GUESTS
If you are expecting a guest, please let us know beforehand. This is our home and we want to know if there’s anybody coming to our home. We prefer no guests overnight.

OTHER HOUSE RULES
Please turn off lights (your room, washroom and common areas) and water when not in use.

Let us know if are planning to buy appliances for your room (e.g. television, game console, etc.). We would be charging additional utilities for appliances.
