About Jen's family

We are a small family of 3 living in North Langley (Willoughby Walnut Grove). We have lived in this home for 7 years with our 14 year old son. We have a large 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom townhouse that was built in 2012 (7 years old) that is located close to movie theatres, shopping malls, and various restaurants. We are within walking distance to both RE Mountain Secondary School, Walnut Grove Secondary School, and Yorkson Middle School. We have direct access to transit to Kwantlen University College campuses, Simon Fraser University, BCIT, and downtown Vancouver. Full on site gym is available for use as well. We are willing to help with transportation as necessary. We are very excited to have the opportunity to host students from around the world. We are very family oriented and would treat each homestay as apart of the family. We like activities such as biking, hiking, walking, skiing, snowboarding, fishing, camping, playing basketball, and baseball.

Meals

Breakfast	Host prepares breakfast for student Tea, coffee, juice, water, cereal, muffins, toast and fruit during the school week- All of the above as well as eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and hashbrowns on the weekend. We are open to accommodate meal preferences/dietary restrictions.
Lunch	Host prepares lunch for student Warm lunches such as pasta, and rice/noodle dishes. Sandwiches, wraps, salads, cheese crackers and pickles, vegetables, fruit, as well as a variety of healthy/tasty snacks and beverages during the school week- All of the above including soup, grilled cheese, etc on the weekend. We are open to accommodate meal preferences/dietary restrictions.
Dinner	Host prepares dinner for student Tea, coffee, juice, and water. A variety of meat such as chicken breast, chicken wings, pork (ham, tenderloine, ribs, roast), beef (steak, roast, ground for various dishes), and seafood such as salmon, prawns, and shrimp. Meat is always accompanied with noodles, rice, pasta, and vegetables such as steamed broccoli and cauliflower, carrots, potatoes, yams, etc. We have a balanced variety of home cooked meals also including pizza, stir fry, baked casseroles and sushi. We are open to accommodate meal preferences/dietary restrictions.
