Hello
We are a family of 4, including mother, father and two children; 7year old boy and 11 year old girl. We are friendly, fun and caring. We also have a gentle mother cat named Ginger and her daughter Cami.
There is a beautiful green park on our street with a playground. It is a nice place to take a walk in nature. We are walking distance to TPASC; Toronto Pan Am Sports Ctr, which offers many fitness programs, running track and Olympic swimming pools. Schools within walking distance include; The University of Toronto; Scarborough Campus, St. John Paul II, Catholic Secondary School, Centennial College; Morningside Campus. The Progress Campus is a short bus ride away. There is a TTC bus stop at the end of our street that connects to the subway line.
We have been hosting homestay for international students for one year.
I have been a nurse for almost 20 years and have a passion for healthy eating. We encourage our students to eat healthy. We usually have at least one kind of homemade soup and salads to go with our dinner or as an after school snack.
We have a large, spacious house that has a family room with a large TV and fireplace where we can relax and watch tv and movies. We have a family room with a piano, and exercise mats where my daughter coaches family fitness if you are interested in joining.
Students have their own private ground level that walks out to the backyard. They have their own private living room and study area, own kitchen for breakfast and their own laundry room. This allows them to have privacy and independence, and also have the option to join the family when they want company or socialization.
We are an active family and like to plan fun day trips on the weekend, and even rent a cottage. Students are invited to participate if interested.
Come join our family for a homestay in Scarborough / Toronto.
