About Juliet's family
Hosting in Port Moody since 2017Hello, We are a family who has been hosting international students for the past 10 years! We live in a townhouse surrounded by a forest so it is very quiet and peaceful. The bus stop is 1 minute away and you can walk, bike or bus to a close Skytrain station. We are close to everything. You can get almost anywhere by the Skytrain. We have a pool and sauna in the complex that are free to use. We are a short bus ride to Lougheed mall where you find banks, shops, a library and a recreation centre. I have 2 daughters, one in grade 12 at Port Moody Secondary and one working at an animal rescue agency. They are both competitive gymnasts. We like to relax in the evenings and do homework or watch TV.. If you like exploring Vancouver we can take you to see the sights on the weekends. I am a secondary school music and English teacher. If you need help with your English or your homework, this is the place for you! We love animals and have 2 cats and a 2 dogs that were all rescued from bad situations. Hiking, biking and walking trails are all around us. We are a short walk to Port Moody Secondary. We have a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Our fridge is always full and snacking is allowed anytime. If you don't like what we are having for dinner we always have pizza and other easy to make food around for you. We want you to feel that this is your home so always let me know what you need to be comfortable.

| Host provides material, student prepares own lunch Most students take a lunch to school. We make it the night before or in the morning depending on student's choice. I buy whatever they like for lunches: things for sandwiches, juice, pop, chips, yoghurt, snacks, fruit cups, noodle soups, Asian snacks. Students can come shopping with me and choose what they like or just let me know and I pick it up. I shop at an Asian grocery store and a regular grocery store. |

House rules
We have common sense rules that allow everyone to get access to washing machine, TV, snacks etc. Students can make snacks anytime, there are no rules to prevent students from eating snacks when they are hungry! We ask that students keep their rooms clean and do their laundry regularly.
