2023年成为住我家网 Gatineau 房东Hi, I’m Sanja! I have been in Canada with my family for over 20 years and we have been a host family for the past couple years. We come from Europe ourselves, so we know what it’s like to be new to a country! We are a young, newlywed couple with a new baby. We own a beautiful modern, rustic house in Hull (just one exit from the Byward Market in Downtown Ottawa) that we have been renting out to young professionals, students and workers over the years. We would like to have neat, clean and respectful students. We are offering our ground floor apartment with 3 large bedrooms for students to stay, so you have complete privacy! We, ourselves, live just a few minutes away so if students need anything we are very close by. We’re very welcoming, friendly and do our best to help out students as much as we can. We’re looking forward to meeting you soon! LOCATION: We are located just 5km away from the Byward Market in Ottawa (7 minutes by car) or a 30 minute bus ride away with a bus stop just 350m from the house. Right across the street there is a convenience store that sells everyday basics. As well, within walking distance there is a gas station & large grocery store where students can purchase basic necessities 7 days a week, as well as lots of other cafes, shops, gyms and restaurants all within walking distance! Students and young working professionals who stayed at the house in the past and had to travel to Ottawa for work/school in the past all loved our location, as we are also very close to the beautiful Gatineau Park. HOUSE: Students will be exclusively in the ground floor apartment (which is an entirely separate unit from the upstairs apartment) fully furnished with a private entrance in the back, small backyard patio, 3 large bedrooms, and with one bathroom and full kitchen. There is also a washer/dryer in the basement that the students can use. GROUND FLOOR APARTMENT: Our downstairs unit has 3 bedrooms. The shared spaces include a kitchen, living room area and bathroom. Included in your price is a fully furnished apartment with : - private entrance - private bedroom with double or queen bed (depending on the room) - shared bathroom - shared kitchen - access to laundry room once a week (students are responsible for their own laundry. they can use the washer & dryer located in the basement once a week) - hot water - electricity - heating - wifi - one set of bed sheets - one set of towels LOCATION: There is a bus stop right in front of our home and it takes you straight to downtown Ottawa. 房屋守则
We only host clean and respectful students. Students must clean up after themselves and treat their roommates and the house with respect.
Students must abide by the following rules :
Every student is responsible for cleaning their own private bedroom.
Every student is responsible for cleaning up after themselves anytime they cook or prepare food in the kitchen and dining room area (wash dishes, put away food, throw out garbage, wipe the tables, etc.). This is a shared space.
Every student is responsible for cleaning up after themselves after using the bathroom (rinse down the shower, keep the bathroom tidy, etc.). This is a shared space.
Every student is permitted to one shower per day and to use the laundry once a week.
Every student will take a turn once a week to take the garbage, recycling and compost bins outside for pickup and clean the general living area (bathroom, kitchen, living room and front entrance) by vacuuming & mopping. We can provide some cleaning supplies. It's encouraged that the students come up with a schedule amongst themselves so they can rotate fairly.
No parties and/or large gatherings are allowed inside or outside on the backyard patio or anywhere on the property (this is for the safety purpose of all students living together).
No outside guests are allowed to sleep over (this is for the safety purpose of all students living together).
Students are not allowed to enter other bedrooms without the permission of the other students.
No loud noise after 10:00pm (this includes loud music, loud tv, loud talking, shouting, slamming doors, etc.). We do have tenants in the upstairs apartment.
No shoes inside the house. When using the laundry in the basement, please use the slippers on the basement stairs only, as the basement is unfinished and dirt and dust can be carried upstairs to the ground floor.
No candles or any open flame allowed inside/outside the property. (this is for the safety purpose of all students living together).
Every student is responsible to keep their personal items and belongings inside their private rooms.
