We have just relocated to the Port Coquitlam area of BC after living and raising our daughters in Taiwan. Both my wife and I worked as ESL teachers in Taiwan for over 17 years. Our daughters are both fluent in Mandarin Chinese. We understand the problems and concerns of moving to a new country and having to deal with a new culture and all of the other surprises that often arise when you are new to a country. Generally, students take their lunch with them to school, and we would be sure to have whatever it is that our guests require; such as sandwiches, meat, fruit, etc.

晚餐 		寄宿家庭做晚餐
We try to have a family meal once a day during the week. A sit down dinner of pasta and salad, or rice and vegetables...we sometimes have a Mexican night, or a curry night. Weekends we sometimes make our own pizza, but we occassionally order out as well.

    We expect our Home stay guests to treat our house as they would their own. To clean up after themselves and be respectful of the other people sharing the house. Depending on the age of our guests, different rules and time regulations can and will be made. We will have internet available for our guests to use, but we expect our guests to be mindful of where they are and who they are living with. We know that students will want to communicate with family at home, but we expect this communication to be done during reasonable hours(8:00am-11:00pm) on this side of the Pacific Ocean.
