About Carey's family
Hosting in Langley since 2018If you are looking for a 19+ homestay, we are your people! My husband and I are fun, outgoing people that are passionate about good food, good music, and good company. We host and attend gatherings frequently with friends and family that our students are more than welcome to join. We have a beautiful, private backyard that we enjoy spending time in, as well as gardening and doing outdoor projects. We have one wonderful Corgi named Zora, 2 cats, and 3 horses (a short drive away from home). I grew up in a family who hosted Japanese, German, and Korean students. I have been immersed in and have thoroughly enjoyed both learning about other cultures, as well as helping students learn about North American culture in a non-demanding fashion. Students will have access to as much or as little privacy as they would like, and are welcome to spend time in our shared living spaces, their bedroom, or in the backyard. We are a short bus/bike ride to Kwantlen Polytechnic University (Langley or Cloverdale campuses), and short bus/bike ride away from Trinity Western University. I am also available sometimes to give rides to and from school. We are very much looking forward to meeting you!
