About CHOLA's family
Hosting in Newmarket since 2017We are a family of 4. We love to play & learn music, go camping (in the summer), and travelling to different places. We have been working/living in Japan and Singapore for over 10 years; and we are happy to welcome international students to our Canadian home. We are also a family of a University educator, and believes in nurturing and encouraging cross-cultural exchanges and understanding. Our house is located within walking distance to Crossland Public School; and within the York Region and York Catholic School Boards. Nearby secondary schools: Sir William Mulock Secondary, Huron Heights Secondary, Newmarket High and Sacred Heart Catholic High; all are within 15-20 min public bus rides. Also, Sacred Heart CHS provides a school bus which pick up/drop-off in front of our house. For College or University students (i.e. York University), the Newmarket GO train and GO bus stations are within a 15 min. public bus ride away. Our neighborhood is quiet and family-friendly with walking/biking trails, public park/playground; and walking distance to a recreational complex (The Ray Twinney). Our house is also situated besides a protected green space with fish pond; and is a 5 min. car ride to the Upper Canada Shopping Mall).
